Re: Assistance Needed on 1.11x RC1 x86/x64 Installation
Installation complete. I disabled the built-in LAN port on the motherboard of the Dell PC, put in a second PCIe GigE NIC. Restarted Gargoyle. All was well. Put in the Cat7 STP cabling and we're good. I was only able to get a solid 750-800 Mbps downstream and a solid 35-39Mbps up. I was able to get 9...

Re: Assistance Needed on 1.11x RC1 x86/x64 Installation
Right!
I will post my results within the next 36-48 hrs. Hopefully, it's 942 Mbps which is the max on a gige circuit minus overhead that I get when connecting my main PC directly to the cable modem. I'm just awaiting the arrival of the additional NIC from the USPS sometime tomorrow.

Re: Assistance Needed on 1.11x RC1 x86/x64 Installation
UPDATE: I finally got my router up and running. I have about 20 years of experience installing/configuring linux machines and I was in that mindset here. I had a PC/Monitor and a linux-like OS. Once the Gargoyle installed I got to a command line and could not wrap my head around how to get into a gu...

Re: Assistance Needed on 1.11x RC1 x86/x64 Installation
Hey Lantis...I can't even get to a place to even configure anything. All I get is the IP address assigned to eth1 which is connected to my wireless router. That's where I need help. I need to set up the device as a router, etc.

Hi all... I have an old Dell PC with an i5, 4Gb RAM. I added a PCIe GigE board and a 32gb SSD flash drive and followed the Open-WRT forum post about installing LEDE to the "T" and cannot get Gargoyle to come up properly. So, I have a few problems/questions I need to work out... -When booti...

SOLVED - Re: Firewall Configuration Assistance
I figured it out...here's how to do it: -ssh to your-gargoyle-router from putty as root & authenticate. -At CLI run 'vi /etc/config/firewall' -Look for the following port forwarding rules there: config redirect 'redirect_enabled_number_0' option name 'Remote Desktop' option src 'wan' option dest...

Re: Firewall Configuration Assistance
I am unable to install a vpn client on my work computer, so I can't use it. I am willing to configure this via CLI as a firewall rule, if someone can figure out how to write the syntax or point me to an example page that shows a similar setup. I absolutely suck figuring out fw rules, and don't want ...

Setting up OpenVPN Client for use with Windscribe
I have recently subscribed to Windscribe VPN service. I would like to setup my router to use it as an OpenVPN client. When I attempt to configure it, apparently a client certificate and a client key is required. I attempted to use OpenVPN's How-To section to generate the certificate/key combo, but a...
