Restricting Web Pages

I was going to set a schedule for the children where in study time they can only access web pages I have agreed. I did wonder whether it would be possible for the router to display a basic web page if they try and access other pages - either customisable or to the affect that the administrator has b...

Re: QOS just for p2p downloads/streaming?

I'm wondering if the connection can't handle the data - I'm tempted to try a silly figure like say max 4k connection -is that possible? I'll try the dns server as you suggest - I'll also try the game servers ip to see what comes from this The lag spike I get is my main worry at the moment - just hop...

Re: QOS just for p2p downloads/streaming?

It's a netgear 3700 v2 so it really is on little more than tick over most of the time. Just put acc back on, made the sharing 25% between the pcs and also took off the max bandwidth restrictions - this did improve it, though the connection would spike and as you can see its aggressively reducing the...

Re: QOS just for p2p downloads/streaming?

Awesome many thanks and for your input. In terms of the connection I use adsl, using a adsl modem (Netgear 834g switched to modem through config) and then I use ppoe on Gargoyle 1.51 (Netgear 3700v2) In terms of the game it is league of legends and I run this from the PC, which is also using mumble ...

Re: Very pleased! -> WNDR3700v2

I purchased a 3700v2 specifically for the task of putting Gargoyle on it and making use of all its various functions - just bought up the Netgear page to do the update and straight into it. I had high expectations for this firmware and it's easily exceeded them - really impressed, really appreciate ...

Re: QOS just for p2p downloads/streaming?

I'm going through the same process at the moment so this is useful for me. Out of interest how much bandwidth have you given to total upload and download. I'm on a 8096/512 connection so I have set 8000 for the download as per the automatic congestion control recommendation and I have set the up to ...
