Re: UniFi AP doesn't have enough range

http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3231 Read up on that thread Besides allowing the extra channels, you can also allow increasing the output power of your router (if the router is capable) Yours obviously is capable of more power output. OpenWRT (which Gargoyle is based on...

Re: Router Speed tests

Your other limitation is computer hardware. Unless you are testing between 2 different SSD drives, you will not ever hit near gigabit speeds on the router LAN interface. Maybe with SSD's you could hit near max, but I don't have 2 SSD drives in my computer to test it out. I've done numerous test over...

Re: Version 1.7.2

Am I the only one that has noticed (or can reproduce) how the usage of NOHT is not reflected in wpa_supplicant.conf and therefore it does not work (you can't disable 802.11n)? https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/16667 Looks like this is an OpenWRT issue (goes quite a while back) Found multiple back-fort...

Re: Can't connect to LAN on Bridged Router

I think it's due to the way you are configured and the way the data is routing. Since your primary gateway is the 192.168.0.1, you'd need to have your printer setup on the primary - not the bridge router. Try searching more on OpenWRT and routing. https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=56025 Rea...

Re: Can't connect to LAN on Bridged Router

Make sure you choose the option
"Bridge WAN to LAN" on the setup page (for the secondary router)

Also try that DMZ setting I recommended on the primary

Re: Enable SNMP in GUI

http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/snmp.server

You should be able to follow that and install via the command line.

Make sure you have an 8MB or larger flash
Also should have 32MB or larger of Ram

OpenWRT/Gargoyle have grown so much that
8MB Flash & 32MB Ram are now minimums for a router.

Re: Can't connect to LAN on Bridged Router

Hello, I have a Wireless Bridge setup with a wdr4300 as the Primary (192.168.0.1) and a wdr3600 as the secondary router (192.168.0.2). I've connected a network printer to the LAN port of the secondary router with the IP 192.168.0.155 If I connect my PC or any device to the Primary router, I can pri...

Re: U500X + Gargoyle 1.6.2

Looks like that U500X stick is too new.

I don't find any mention of it searching OpenWRT.

Has to have OpenWRT support before Gargoyle will support it.

May have to wait a while before it gets supported or if you are skilled
enough, you might be able to hack your own driver into OpenWRT.

Re: Version 1.6.2

Ok so i have been running this firmware for a month now and there is one MAJOR flaw  If i connec directly to modem via cable i can get speedtest.net result of 16Mbps, but if i connect to the internet wirelessly through the gargoyle router with 1.6.2 firmware i only get 10Mbps. Thats a 40% spee...
