Re: Router Suggestions

No worries Peter. You'll need command line access to the router so that you can initiate the download and install onto the router. I recommend using PuTTY.exe for Windows or Terminal.app for Mac/Linux Login as root using your password. wget -O /tmp/install.sh http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_mvebu/...

Re: How to create separate network / vlan

When you flash it automatically flashes the secondary flash. The router then boots into it.
The next time you flash it will also go to the alternative flash (the original primary).

So to get the same version on both, you need to flash twice in a row with the same image.

Re: How to create separate network / vlan

If it did get back to the GUI for you, the best bet is to reflash the firmware to get it all happy again, then restore your backup

Re: How to create separate network / vlan

It takes a little while. Maybe 30 seconds.

Are you sure fail safe isn't working?
I've put my device into a completely unusable state and recovered it using fail safe.
I had a completely incompatible network config like your situation.

Re: How to create separate network / vlan

Try the power off power on 4 times method. It should switch to backup flash.
