Re: WR-1043ND V2 wifi problems?

Now looking at an TP-LINK-Archer-C7-AC1750 to replace the WR1043ND, which hopefully won't have the same wifi problem? Or should I dump TP-Link and go for Linksys. If so, which one? TP-LINK-Archer-C7-AC1750 suffers exactly the same problem because it uses exactly the same chip. I have both routers a...

Re: WR-1043ND V2 wifi problems?

This is a known problem for a very long time. There was some progress made but in my opinion, it is not fully fixed yet. If you encounter WIFI related problems, try to change the WIFI channel. Changing the channel is known to avoid/reduce the frequency of this problem. See these links for informatio...

Re: Add GUI for VLAN configurations

On the Huawei router provided by Spark, it's preconfigured to use PPPoE so I tried to do the same on Gargoyle, but don't know if that is strictly required. 1) If it uses PPPoE, then you should use PPPoE. There is a GUI in Gargoyle you can use to set it. 2) You have posted in the wrong thread, pleas...

Re: SSH/SCP to copy files away from router.

it turns out that the router ip address had been but on the NAS's ban list permanently! Since you didn't add the IP address to the ban list yourself, I have a feeling this setting could be related to security. Just make sure you aren't creating a security hole yourself by exposing your NAS to the i...

Re: plz recommend a 5GHZ router which can flash gargoyle

Linksys wrt1900acs - Best but expensive TP-Link Archer C7 v2 - Have 5Ghz radio but 5Ghz penetration is poor, i.e. hardly any usable 5Ghz reception if there is a wall in between, so the 5Ghz is only good if there is no wall in between. Network performance is same as tp-1043nd because the cpu is the s...

Re: SSH/SCP to copy files away from router.

I think it is probably easier to run cron to backup your files to USB drive which is shared on your LAN. Then, you can run another command to copy the files from the shared USB drive to your NAS.

Re: Version 1.9.2

Anyone noticed the pie chart layout for QoS distribution page is not fully shown on computer when viewed on Google Chrome? I only see one quarter of the pie chart..

It looks fine on Google Chrome on Android mobile though.

I had just installed 1.9.2 on WRT1900ACS.

Re: Unable to forward at 120 mbps

Is there a way to tweak configuration to achieve better performance while keeping bandwidth monitoring (I love this feature especially with two teens in the house!) ? If it is the TP-LINK Archer C7 that is not beefy enough, any recommendation for a router with more processing power? Read this https...

In short, you need a router with faster CPU unless you change your settings.
