Re: Openwrt 19.07 based Gargoyle

So I've been using the Polish Gargoyle 1.13 OpenWRT 19.07 based build for my TP-Link Archer A7 v5 (1.12 isn't available for this router even though it's pretty much a C7 v5) and it's been working great. I use QoS, UPnP, USB printing... well I haven't had any issues with it. Wireless range is much be...

Re: How to flash dir 601 A1 with Gargoyle?

I was looking at the download screen and have no idea which file I need to get. How do I go about flashing this router with Gargoyle? What's the last version that Gargoyle still support with tiny build? If you want the latest firmware that supports all features it was 1.5.11. The Polish build above...

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!

I bought a $20 GL.iNET GL-MT300N-V2 from Amazon. I bought it after I saw I could flash it to Gargoyle using the Polish Gargoyle PL image (one click to switch to English). It's just an upgrade file since it comes pre-installed with OpenWRT. https://dl.eko.one.pl/gargoyle-pl/openwrt-18.06/targets/rami...

Re: Gargoyle on Glinet MT300N-V2

Hello, Please I bought MT300N-V2 router thinking I would be able to flash Gargoyle on it. I contacted the manufacturer for help. And I was directed to flash this gargoyle_1.11.0-ramips-mt7620-gl-mt300n-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin After flashing the above firmware the router didn't reboot automatically,...

Re: QoS ACC Degrades Over Time - v1.11 RC5

I was having this issue in 1.10 more than 1.11. What fixed it for me was changing my ACC ping target to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare's DNS).

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5

I am only having problem if switch WiFi off and on a few times in a row... I know this isn’t a common thing and most will turn it on and leave it on. It just happened that I figured I should do other settings first after I turned it on the first time then had the problem when turned it back off. (I...

It does something; maybe it runs Google DNS on its own because in the past when router based Adblock would kill a website, my sister would always use Chrome to get around the issue.

Re: Default QoS Rules Contest **Complete**

Leaving it to my ISP seems to break ACC at times (and I use a big ISP in the US; Comcast). It's almost as if pings to Comcast IP are exempt from speed cap because the ping remains low even when the line gets saturated. That was my case as well (different ISP), ping remaining low even when the line ...

Re: QOSMON v2.3 Released to repo (ACC)

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. Been using the 1/22 beta and ACC is significantly much more stable compared to 1.10. Fair link limit doesn't drop much compared to before. As for using alternative ping targets; I've always had to do this because my ISPs IP address (default IP) sometimes seems to be ex...

Re: Default QoS Rules Contest **Complete**

Also what about setting the default ACC ping to Google DNS? I'm having good result so far https://i.imgur.com/2H7gRhb.png I've always set the ping destination to either Google DNS, Quad9, or OpenDNS. Leaving it to my ISP seems to break ACC at times (and I use a big ISP in the US; Comcast). It's alm...
