DIR-825-C1 / DIR-835-A1 Support Patch Available?
I noticed the following patches, which would suggest there is some bleeding edge support for the DIR-825-C1 and DIR-835-A1 in Gargoyle. https://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargoyle/blob/master/patches-generic/11-dir825c1_and_dir835a1_support.patch http://www.gargoyle-router.com/gargoyle/projects/gargo...

Re: Installing Gargoyle over OpenWRT
You can do a clean install of Gargoyle on that router, although it will wipe the existing OpenWrt installation. It's unclear to me exactly what you're trying to accomplish, but if you just want Gargoyle, this would do the trick.

Re: OpenWrt give dual functionality
Yes, Tomato, OpenWrt, DD-WRT, and Gargoyle all allow additional USB functionality. The exact functionality depends on which firmware, and in some cases which additional packages are installed.

Any plans on adding support for TP-Link TL-WDR4900 ?! Would be great! :D Thanks, smyr Only supported in OpenWrt Barrier Breaker (currently trunk). Until Gargoyle moves to that branch, you won't get support for this router. Doubt they will change to this branch too soon. Ok, so not a good buy then i...

Re: AC routers?
early trunk (Barrier Breaker) support on openwrt for the TP-Link AC router, but not with AC devices (ie only 802.11 a/b/g/n for now). No support in Gargoyle until Gargoyle moves onto Barrier Breaker, which I wouldn't expect anytime soon (probably not until Barrier Breaker is in the beta or RC stage).

Re: TP LINK WDR3600 video stuttering on local streaming
that really shouldn't be a big issue. If i had to guess, it probably has something to do with the relatively new atheros chipset in these TP-Link routers. I would take your concern to the OpenWrt team or perhaps directly to the Atheros open source driver team.

Re: TP LINK WDR3600 video stuttering on local streaming
only thing i can possibly think of is that hardware NAT is supported by stock firmware but not by OpenWrt/Gargoyle. I wouldn't think that would be a bottleneck though as most routers also do not support hardware NAT. In addition, most routers disable hardware NAT when QOS is enabled anyway. Define h...
