Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-November-07 21:28.torrent

Ok, flashed my TP Link 4300v1. All ok. I have a TP-Link WA901ND Access Point running stock (channel 6) and my 4300 running 1.9 (channel 11). The 901ND link speed on my Nexus 6 is 144 Mbps (stock firmware) The 4300 link speed on my Nexus 6 is 144 Mbps (gargoyle firmware) Interestingly, if I turn on ...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-November-07 21:28.torrent

I've turned the syslog on, we'll see what happens.

I have made one change, I've adjusted the DNS from my IP provided ones rather than using OpenDNS. If the system is stable for a while, then I'll switch back to OpenDNS to see if that was causing the problem.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-November-07 21:28.torrent

Ok, running into some problems. I'm getting a lot of disconnects. I have my PC accessing the internet through a wired connection plus other devices accessing it via wireless. About every 15 min, the whole internet goes down. No machine can access. The lights on the router are still flashing. A power...

Try to disable both upload and download qos then re enable both.
I did the flash on my 4300 and via Chrome the problem does not occur, all worked out of the box so to speak.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

A quick question, I have a long-ish list of reserved DHCP addresses but am wanting to upgrade from 1.8 to 1.9. Can I ssh into the router, copy the file from /etc that has the DHCP reservations and then overwrite the existing file in 1.9 to easily keep that setup? It's a small step but will save me a...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

We need people like yourself to test the stability for us :) Being a good corporate citizen, I agree. I'll have to sort out a time to do it this weekend. One question though, 1.8 is very stable for me, I don't use anything fancy, no plugins and no guest, just restrictions on PCs from time to time (...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

Any ETA yet on when a stable CC release will be complete? I'm not game to try the STC releases just because the family could pummel me for a buggy experience but I'm keen to get the stable release to improve wifi performance. I've got a Wireless Access Point 901ND running stock and a TPLink 4300 run...
