Re: Bandwidth usage seems wrong

It should work fine.

Let's discuss your setup in detail.

Please post a screenshot of your Connection Basic page and a brief description or photo of how gargoyle and the modem are connected (which ports etc).

Re: Modem stats

Correct. If it's in bridge mode and the gargoyle is set to PPPoE then everything should self setup. If it doesn't, usually indicates that DHCP wasn't left on on the bridge. Even so, we can always run the script manually. We recently discussed this with another user who wanted this setup but while in...

No. It is no longer necessary either. You can set your country on the command line

Re: Modem stats

If you set to full bridge mode and leave DHCP on, then gargoyle will automatically set up routing so that you can access your modem.

Give it a try :)

As for modem stats, I'd say no. There's no way we could standardise the stats or the different types of modems and their communication methods.

Re: Is QoS not meant to work perfectly?

It will only reserve the bandwidth when it is required.
Also I just tried twitch st HD and it used 3.2mbps. Are you sure your number is correct?

Further, to bring down that much data you must also send data back. So you can be saturated on your upload as well.

Re: Is QoS not meant to work perfectly?

Slow connection + limits of what gargoyle can do With a bit more bandwidth to use I think you would see a vast improvement. Even with my rule setup, and 18mbps, if I am playing a game at 11ms latency and I purposely saturate the connection, it will initially spike to ~80-100 before settling to about...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2016-June-03 19:21.torrent

gargoyle-tor: clean up mess after last changes I thought this was a bit harsh Probably not. I have had ongoing problems with code formatting where my editor takes it upon itself to introduce spurious white-space into the code. Sometimes I catch it before I commit - other times not. Apologies Might ...

Have you tried a later version to see if the problem persists?

Re: How to maintain assigned static IPs with Range Extender

What kind of devices do you have connected to it? If you have any PCs, I'm wondering if we can try to be a bit more extreme about refreshing the DHCP leases. (I still think this is the issue) On a PC at the command prompt window if you: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew Hopefully the PC will now get...
