Thanks, I now have remote access. Could you please let me know which part of the router configuration menu I need go to to set the static IPs of connected devices.
I plan to connect a number of wired devices through an additional switch and set individual quotas to each of them.

Re: Data and device limitations
I would like to access the router itself remotely for configuration purposes.
Once a device is connected to the router does it always keep the same IP? if not which part of the menu should I set it in?

Re: Data and device limitations
Success! I managed get Gargoyle running on my TP link router by following the advice on the forum. I have a question regarding quotas and devices because my next step is to set it up. Do you need to know the MAC address or device ID before setting any limits? Is there only one wifi password? If so, ...

Re: TL-WR1043ND V3
Hi, I have a question. Using WinSCP to transfer the Gargoyle firmware, what is the username and password? I completed step 1 and got openWRT onto the router.
Thanks

Re: Data and device limitations

I purchased the TP Link TL-WR1043ND v3 because this is the one that was available in the store so I thought it would be the easiest to upgrade. I can now see that there are no firmware images yet available for this particular router. H...

Re: Remote access
If I used the same type of router as shown in the store, could I access it remotely? There will be another router provided by the ISP but that would be put into modem mode and the Gargoyle router will take over the routing functions. If we had a static IP could we configure router for remote access ...

Re: Data and device limitations
Thanks! I think we are going to go ahead with this solution in the new year. Just two more questions.. Firstly can a user login a different device every time they connect or does the password lock them to one MAC address? And secondly would you be able to ship the Gargoyle pre-loaded router to the U...
