Thanks Lantis, yes I do use Chrome so I have done as you have suggested and am testing to see how things go. I had no appreciation of the conversion ratio between kbps kByte/s either so thanx for pointing that out too.
So far the 20kByte/s is looking workable.

Thanks for 1.10
Just a quick thanks for the continuous updating of this project. I an a very amateur user. Hadn't much played with my 1.9 setting for a year or so. Then yesterday I found all my Quota rules had been erased. So time to revisit it. Anyhow went looking for updates, found 1.10 and after a few minutes of...

Minimum throttle bandwidth
Hi I need some advice on what throttle bandwidth setting will hobble my users wihtout totally making their connection unusable. In my home we have a miserly 45GB per month at 25MBs during daytime hours so I need to ration carefully. So I have set daily quotas to ~ 300mb each user. Can someone give m...

Re: Quota Active Times
So what I have come up with is a rule thus: Limit 200MB Active = All Times except 00:59-07:00 Reset hour 01:00. That should work shouldn't it? Was not sure about putting the start time & reset both at 01:00, so split them buy a minute to ensure reset occurs outside of quota period While I have y...

Re: Quota Active Times
OK will try it that way and hopefully they will arrive at 07:00 to see no quota data has been used.

Re: Quota Active Times
Thanks heaps for the prompt reply. So in theory no difference but it gets fooled by midnight. So all times except 01:00-07:00 would be a better way to go. Reset time had been left at default of midnight. So this was probably what was ruining things for me. So if I set it to 07:00 reset they will sta...

Quota Active Times
I am confused as to the difference if any between setting a bandwidth Quota to "All times Except" vs "Only". Household has extra bandwitdh avalaible in wee hours from 01;00 to 07:00, so I want to lift restrictions then. So I can make filters for each IP either by doing ; Limit 20...

Re: TL-WR1043ND V3
OK No worries. I have ended up installing it with stock firmware. All good. Will the changes to internal hardware in the v4 preclude a future Gargoyle firmware for it?

Re: TL-WR1043ND V3
Just picked up a second WR1043ND but it is a V4. Bugger. Does anyone know if it is likely to accept the V3 firmware OK? Or is it risky flashing it. Need to install it at site today.
