Re: Experimental build of Gargoyle 1.12.0 for ipq806x architecture routers

Safe? Probably... Will it actually free flash space? Not if they were included in the original Gargoyle firmware image, because the files are in the SquashFS part of the flash not the overlay file system. If you want to reduce the firmware footprint you'd need to build a custom image, or try a 1.13...

Re: Experimental build of Gargoyle 1.12.0 for ipq806x architecture routers

@defz: If you search the threads on the OpenWrt forums you should find some instructions for substituting the non-ct firmware for the ct firmware. My understanding from previous reading there is that the non-ct firmware should work with the ct driver so updating the firmware should at least give yo...

Re: Experimental build of Gargoyle 1.12.0 for ipq806x architecture routers

Greetings! First of all, @pythonic thanks a lot for your time with the initial support for the ipq806x architecture, and @Lantis for being in active development for so long and thankfully bringing official support with the 1.13.X build(s). I've got an Archer C2600 last week, flashed with the latest ...

You can try version 1.13.x (the device is supported here): viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12896
That's awesome.

Thank you.

Re: Gargoyle support for TP-Link Archer C2600 v1.x?

Greetings! I bought a used TP-Link Archer C2600 v1 last week, and should get my hands on it in a few days. Hopefully now I can reach full WAN speed (~200/300Mbps) with QoS enabled? We'll see. Does Gargoyle fully supports the Archer C2600 v1 nowadays, or does it needs any sort of "fine tuning&qu...

Re: Archer C7 v2 rebooting every 12 seconds

Does it also reboot when not connected to the WAN?

If not, this might explain what's going on.

Re: Archer c7 v2 5ghz issues

It's not about DFS. The wifi driver for that device always reports a TX speed of 6mbps even though it is much higher in reality. It is a limitation of the driver. If your device is performing ok, there's no need to do anything. That's correct. I've got the same behavior on most of my 5GHz devices a...

Re: Identifying zoom traffic

I had to do this quickly as I am now working from home, so this was a bit rushed, buts it s working for me. these ports drop into my Zoom service class and then that class has my rules of shaping the traffic. Destination Port: 8801-8802, Transport Protocol: TCP Destination Port: 3478-3479, Transpor...

Re: Can't access my bridged modem

I had the same question/doubt when switching to PPPoE, and solved it by following this guide. See if that's also your case.
