Quota Tallies
Where/how are the bandwidth usage tallies stored relative to quota tracking? I've noticed that if Gargoyle is restarted, the daily quota's start counting from scratch (i.e. the figures for BW used between midnight and when the router is restarted are lost), but the monthly bandwidth picks up mostly ...

Re: Quotas causing reboots on C7 with 1.9.x
No worries mate. You can try setting up throttling using QOS. That doesn't seem to crash. Basically set up a QOS class with max bandwidth of what you want to throttle to, then under quotas you will have the option to drop traffic into that class when the quota is met. I'm new to QOS - I read the FA...

Re: Quotas causing reboots on C7 with 1.9.x
Thanks, guys! I guess I'll hang with this box for now then. The router seems to be stable with quotas that block access vs. throttling. It's not ideal, as the intent was to leave the kiddos with enough bandwidth to do their homework, but not enough to continue binge watching Netflix or YouTube. Howe...

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
Received an Archer C7 V.2 last week. Thanks to Lantis and help from Tapper and Drewis, I was able to get 1.9x up and running over the weekend, despite the problems with the new flash chip that is (apparently) in units manufactured since sometime last year, along with TCP's weird attempt to keep US m...

Re: Quotas causing reboots on C7 with 1.9.x
Just thought of a question: Is this a problem that only the newer Archer C7 V.2's are experiencing? You helped me get past the problem with the new flash chips, but I'm wondering if there's a better box I could pickup with known (and stable) architecture. Please let me know what you think.

Lantis:
I'm having the same problem. Every time an IP hits a defined limit defined with a throttle response, the router resets.
I haven't tried the QoS throttle, but will give it a try when I can.

Re: Archer C7 V.2 Installation Error
I used Tapper's method and it's up and running. It seems to be pretty stable, with one exception that I'll try to research before starting a new thread. Thanks again!

Re: Archer C7 V.2 Installation Error
Thank you for all the responses, and my apologies for not replying sooner. My job keeps me on the road quite a bit. why are you changing the name? Is it instructed somewhere to do so? Yes, the instructions for the C7 says to try this if you experience problems. Tapper and drewis: Thank you both.. I ...

Archer C7 V.2 Installation Error
I received this router from Amazon yesterday. I read about the problems with newer TP-Link Archer C7 installs and my understanding of it all is that a patch for the new flash chip has been incorporated into 1.90. (Did I get that wrong?) So after downloading "gargoyle_1.9.0-ar71xx-generic-archer...
