Just upgraded my TP-Link Archer C7 v2 from 1.10.0 to 1.12.0 using the gargoyle_1.9.0-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin file. Didn't preserve settings once upgrade was complete, simply added my PPPoE details in and internet was backup and running with no issues. Little bit of a risk...
