Re: Daily Quota usage based on overal time
OK, thanks for your answers. I was afraid that LAN Ethernet traffic would be taken into account. If I understand well, an in/out packet give a "ticket" for 5 seconds of WAN use (and so the quota is decreased of 5 seconds). After 5 seconds, if no new packets, the time is not count. It looks...

Re: Web filtering - Parental Control
Hi, I also use OpenDNS and I'm satisfied with its features. With an account : - you can choose which category you want to filter. - you can customize filtering and add particular domains to a white list (never block) or a black list (always block). Theses lists are limited to 25 entries, but you can...

Re: Daily Quota usage based on overal time
So an unexpected update on this. I've started working on it. I've finished writing the module, now I'm just integrating everything into the firewall and UI. Hope to have some things to test in a few weeks. :) Hi Lantis ! It's a very good news :D ! THANKS A LOT for your work on this project 8-) . I ...

Re: Hosts unreachable on ping between LAN and WAN
The architecture is : Internet | LAN [ip-wan / ADSL / 192.168.1.1] WAN | +--- PC_1 LAN | [192.168.0.1/Gargoyle/192.168.1.2] | WAN +--- PC_0 | other equipments on 192.168.0.x subnet As I read on the web, with SOHO routers intended to internet access, it's impossible in fact to communicate between the...

Re: Hosts unreachable on ping between LAN and WAN
OK, for WAN to LAN side, the reason should be in the Gargoyle Firewall parameters that the ping command is blocked ? But on the Connection/Basic web page of Gargoyle, the checkbox 'Drop Ping From WAN Side' is not checked, so I thought the ping will pass through the router... Anyway, it not explains ...

Re: Hosts unreachable on ping between LAN and WAN
In fact it's not working and the results are the tests realized.
I wanted to know if there is a wrong configuration in the router which explained why it's not working.
Because accordind my knowledges, I can't see where is the problem...
I can try a static route on both side.

Hosts unreachable on ping between LAN and WAN
Hi everybody, I want to communicate between two equipments, the first one on LAN side of the Gargoyle router and the other one on the WAN side. My configuration : Gargoyle router : LAN IP Address : 192.168.0.1 LAN Netmask : 255.255.255.0 DHCP : no (static IP) WAN IP Address : 192.168.1.2 WAN Netmask...

Re: The Bleeding Edge
Hi, I'm interested in the Knowing Devices/Groups functionality (I've at home around 15 IP adresses for all our equipments), is it possible to know if some day it will be integrated in the main branch of Gargoyle development ? The last answer of Lantis suggests the Bleeding Edge branch is now too dif...

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
Hi,
I've flashed the 1.9.2 version on my Netgear WNDR4300v1 48 hours ago and it's working fine (previous version was 1.8.1).
Thanks for your job to all contributors of this project !
