Re: Gargoyle 1.15.x OpenWrt 24.10 - 2026-01-28
Wondering if there's any easy way to transfer all my QoS, Black/Whitelists and Port Forwarding Rules. These lists have been getting rather large and cumbersome to re-enter as I'm self hosting more and more stuff. Can I ssh into the router and just copy a file or two after the update? I saw it 'shoul...

mac filtering not disabling 2.4ghz
I'm using wifi analyzer software on my android phone to find the mac addresses of a wireless access point im connecting my gargoyle router to, and help me troubleshoot this. There's 3 mac addresses from the router AP im accessing. 1 mac address is assigned to channel 36, and is a 2.4ghz AP @ 97% str...

Linksys E8450 build?
Hello again, Thought I'd ask about this build. I'm curious if there's an Alpha/Beta/Test build I could play with. I had a look through the files https://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_custom/1.15.x_2203_test_builds/ here, but didn't see anything obvious. https://openwrt.org/toh/linksys/e8450 mentions ne...

*exploit* dhcp-games-with-smart-router-devices
https://www.anvilsecure.com/blog/dhcp-games-with-smart-router-devices.html Can we discuss this security vulnerability? I have my ISP modem bridged to my gargoyle router. I have a guest network and a private network setup on the wifi and then another 9 clients wired. I also have a second gargoyle ro...

Re: Router Speed tests
Gargoyle is at DHCP(wired) - with two assigned IPs for servers and QOS is off for both upload and download. I've never bothered with it. BW monitoring is on as you stated by default, mainly so i can see what's happening. It's the whole reason i switched to Gargoyle to begin with :) Device Name:Gargo...

Re: Router Speed tests
Thanks, yeah, I was just going to attempt to future proof my setup for a while if it was possible. much appreciation for the quick replies I'll speed test my routers later today after work. the port is on the lan side, and they say the wan side "will support up to" the same. I doubt it goe...
