Re: Version 1.14.0: Based on OpenWrt 22.03

Upgrade questions:

1. I am have an older TP-Link router running 1.12.0 that should really upgrade. Do I need to 1.13 and then 1.14 as separate upgrades, or is it safe just to apply 1.14

2. For this 2 level upgrade, is it safe to keep configs or do i need to configure from scratch?

thanks!

Re: Hard set ethernet port speed

The link runs reliably with no errors at 10MBPS and occasioanlly it will auto negotiate for 100 at startup, for a very short time, then falls back to 10. I was hoping to hard set both ends to 100 full and disable the auto negotiate. This is a link between two routers, across a buried ethernet cable ...

Hard set ethernet port speed

I am using the TP-LINK Archer C7 v5 and have need to hard set the ethernet port speed for one port. Browsing through the forums both here and on openwrt, IT seems that SWCONFIG should do it. But whenever I try, I get an error that : Failed to set attribute: Operation not supported Is there another w...

Setting default gateway for specific hosts

I have a network with multiple gateways, using gargoyle as the dhcp. Is there a way to specify the default gateway sent through dhcp for specific hosts? To be other than the gargoyle router?

Identifying zoom traffic

I'm looking for best way to identify all zoom client traffic in gargoyle. Previously I have just used the source machine up, but there are now other software generating traffic on those same ports on the machine. Seems like I need to add destination up, but there are so many! Any suggestions? https:...

Method to set Ip address per use on ubuntu?

Hi All, I have a unique question. There is one ubuntu system in our house with several logins. Each login should have a different network access profile (meaning filtering / time controls / etc). Is there a way to set ubuntu so that each login gets a separate IP and operates all software under that ...

Re: Found a way to break QOS?

Ok! Update! I was able to repeat testing using only local to remote bandwidth, and almost everything appears to work as expected qith QOS, even with the minimumBW setting. I was able to return to my original and desired settings. There appears to be two issues, at the conclusion. 1. I still must set...
