I would like to request this feature. Gargoyle should allow the user to select from a limited list of settings to backup and hence restore(via check box perhaps) - such as static ips, port forwarding, and access restrictions. Flashed 1.12.0 on TP-Link Archer C7(US) v5. Used it for a day with multiple 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz clients - no issues no report.

Correction - I bricked it by trying to do a restore with a backup file from a Netgear router.

I'm not sure if this information will help you but this is what I did to unbrick my Archer C7 v2 EU version earlier this year. Actually did it twice and both times it worked. Both times I bricked the router by flashing the wrong firmware. I tried multiple tftp clients many times and it wouldn't work...

I tried using etherwake but unfortunately it doesn't work with my old Buffalo NAS. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Looks like this is a general problem with the file /etc/opkg.conf

I was able to install and use the wakeonlan package before - earlier this year with the latest version of Gargoyle. Not sure when it stopped being available.

Any ideas how I can get it again?

I posted this on the OpenWrt forum and got a few replies saying it is available there.
