Re: Fast CPU Gargoyle supported
Which ever pop up as default. Looks like 36. Should it be changed to a different frequency? Was able to do speed tests for about 5 mind and it dropped.

Re: Fast CPU Gargoyle supported
Turned on the WiFi, was able to connect and do some speed tests, and then the 5Ghz SSD disappeared.
I'll definitely keep using the DIR-890L as an AP.

Re: Fast CPU Gargoyle supported
With QoS enabled, I was lucky to get 46Mbps with the Archer C7 on 1.9.2. With the WRT3200ACM and the same settings, it can handle 134Mbps with 1.10.x. This surpasses my expectations.

Re: Fast CPU Gargoyle supported
Turns out the WRT3200ACM was only 20$ more than the WRT1900ACS, so went with the more powerful router. Since the WiFi won't be used short term, the faster CPU will be worth the investment. Was happy to stumble on the following thread to copy key items from my Archer C7 to the WRT3200ACM. https://www...

Re: Fast CPU Gargoyle supported
Does the WRT1900AC V2 support Gargoyle? Afraid I'll have better luck finding a unicorn than a V1.
Any of the Asus routers support Gargoyle?
Thanks

Fast CPU Gargoyle supported
Hi all. Time to hand over my Archer C7 to some (already found someone) and get a router that can better support our 150M connection with all the Gargoyle functions enabled. I read on the forum to expect CPU speed / 15 to match the max throughput with Gargoyle. That rule of thumb works with my Archer...

Re: How to allow unlimited Spotify streaming, but throttle everything else?
I gave it a try. Seems like each song comes from a different IP address. In the last few minutes, the following appeared under current connections:
172.217.1.180:443
151.101.20.246:80
194.132.173.241:80
Totally different ranges than any Spotify IP addresses currently listed on the net. Hmmm...

How to allow unlimited Spotify streaming, but throttle everything else?
My kids love to stream music and I want to limit their other usages. Been trying to figure out how to do this.
Is there a way to allow unlimited streaming from Spotify?

Re: Another router recommendation question
I do this to control my kids usage. All their devices fall within their assigned IP addresses, based on their mac addresses.
I've then created a quota for each IP address range. Right now it's a daily cap, however could be changed to a monthly cap.
