Re: 1.11.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2019-July-06 11
I can also report that this version has been rock solid in a production environment. No issues with EFTPOS here. Thank you for your hard work. Running it within Proxmox on an old 2013 consumer grade Toshiba laptop with a USB Ethernet NIC and integrated Realtek 100mbit NIC on a 100/40 FTTC NBN connec...

Re: Version 1.11.0 : Based on OpenWrt 18.06
Just installed 1.11.0 on my Archer C7. I tried preserving settings from 1.10.0 because I am lazy and I had backups so there wasn't much for me to lose, but DNS and QOS was completely and utterly broken this way. I did a factory reset and all is working properly now, so far so good!

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
Thanks. I'll give it a crack once time permits. I think I can pass through a USB NIC as a virtual NIC so that should be OK.

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
Quick question - is there any support for USB NICs on the x86_64 platform? I have an old laptop with a busted screen which should make a decent router, but obviously it only has 1 NIC to play with. I imagine the answer is probably "no" but I figured I'd ask before I spend a bunch of time t...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
Just tried out this RC on a TL-WR1043ND v2. Working great. With QOS enabled I'm able to squeeze out 85mbit total bandwidth, up and down. Good enough for FTTN. Pretty chuffed.

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 2
Quick question before I get a chance to test the new X86-64 image - does it have native multicore support and is Gargoyle able to utilise multiple cores OK? Tossing up between running it on an Atom Z8350 system or not, which has 4 "slow" cores.

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 2
Will definitely give the x86 build a whirl. Curious what sort of throughput I can achieve on various x86 virtualized hardware, will make sure to run some iperf3 tests and report back.

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 1
Look forward to trying 1.11.0 RC2. I have been using an Archer C7 v2 on 1.10.0 and it works great, but it drops DHCP on the lan periodically, which is weird. Would also be nice to squeeze more performance out of QOS. Is there a build available to download yet? Edit: I am also very interested in the ...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 1
Perhaps a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. There are X86-64 images available - does this mean it should be possible to run Gargoyle in a virtual machine? I would love to run Gargoyle within KVM. I've tried OPNsense but it doesn't have quota functionality which is a bummer
