Re: Understanding hfsc?

The problem is there is no general solution i guess. Because each application uses different paket size and sending interval. Creating a two part service curve for voip is quite easy because it uses fixed paket size and sending interval. But for games this not applicable. Because they vary their pak...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2016-May-25 20:28.torrent

Yes, doesn't mean it won't pick up again. The two projects could merge again when all the turmoil dies down. Besides, switching to DD before it is at the very least RC1 is a bit silly. The kernel versions change too often. Means a lot of patch rewrites. Currently we are working on making 1.9 as sta...

Thanks for the new build :D

Re: Kernel Resolution/HZ

The tick rate has a frequency of HZ hertz and a period of 1/HZ seconds. For example, in include/asm-i386/param.h, the i386 architecture defines: #define HZ 1000 /* internal kernel time frequency */ Therefore, the timer interrupt on i386 has a frequency of 1000HZ and occurs 1,000 times per second (e...

Understanding hfsc?

So we have m1 d m2 ? m1 describes burst rate? d describes the maximum time burst rate can be used? m2 guaranteed rate ? Is there a really difference between linkshare and realtime service curves? For normal lin...
