Re: building with latest backfire
I am past compilation problems, but there is something wrong with firewall script. At least iptables nat table is not populated properly, so there is no traffic between lan and wan.

building with latest backfire
I am trying build gargoyle with backfire svnrev 25754. After a trivial cyassl Makefile fix it compiles, boots and mostly works but iptables rules appear all messed up. Has anyone tried to build gargoyle with anything newer than svnrev 24714 or I am the first one?

Re: Version 1.3.11
Is 1.3.11 expected to see bandwidth usage data collected by previous gargoyle versions? I am upgrading from 1.3.9 and Bandwidth Usage Table is empty in the webui.

Can you explain a little how this new QoS system works?

Re: Backfire x86 generic support
I was able to boot openwrt backfire off usb rootfs on my netgear WNDR3700. Was relatively straightforward, I basically needed to enable usb-storage and it's dependencies via make kernel_menuconfig and build image with special bootargs baked in.

Re: Backfire x86 generic support
FWIW, I am running my test gargoyle instance on virtualbox vm without any problems. I can share the config I use if you are interested, although there is nothing special there.

Re: 2.6 kernel, brcm47xx builds
I am running 1.3.x on netgear wndr3700, which is very similar to DIR-825 judging by the specs. I do not believe there is official Gargoyle build for this hardware, but I was able to do custom build without much trouble. After flashing I had to configure WAN and WIFI manually using SSH. I also had pr...

Re: Problem with download qos
These were logs from unmodified qos_gargoyle script file. Odd. Lets write this off as bad .config on my part, I guess... I have spare wrt54g and can theoretically try to reproduce the problem with official 1.3.1. I'll post my results (good or bad) here if I do. In any case, thank you for your help a...

Re: Problem with download qos
Just in case I was not clear in my original post, I did solve the problem with a trivial change to qos_gargoyle. I just want to understand how this is supposed to work, assuming no one else sees the problem.
Anyways, I've attached request logs from unmodified x86 build.

Re: Problem with download qos
Yes, connections are properly marked, yet, download max bandwidth is not respected if upload qos is on. Here are screenshots from my virtualbox testbed doing scp file transfer. As you can see, download speed is capped at ~1000 kbit/s, which corresponds to total download bandwidth 192.168.2.145 -> (w...
