Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

What you're asking for is simply not possible with existing resources. And that's all I'm saying - that the slow WAN-LAN throughput will get more attention only after it becomes the developers' own problem; until then they will have other priorities. Unfortunately. No matter how big the problem is ...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

Please keep me appraised of any progress you make on your HWNAT implementations and/or speeding up the software NAT. I'd be glad to see someone helping the developers to solve this problem. I smell sarcasm here... Are you another one that thinks that everybody on this planet is a developer and that...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

I'm pretty sure that TP-LINK WDR-4300 is well fast enough...
It can easily max out my line on stock firmware WITHOUT HW NAT.
Besides, I find pretty dumb to "solve" everything just by using HW brute force.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

Seeing how happy everybody is about this build, I gave it a try, hoping to see CC performance improvements... But it's just a big disappointment... :( With BWMON turned on I get about 100 Mbit download speed. With BWMON turned off I get about 140-150 Mbit download speed. This is unacceptable on my 2...

Re: Bring back DIR-615 C1 for Chaos Calmer Please

It's my understanding that the only reason the patch is needed is that OpenWRT(-alike) builds ignore the fact that there are other countries than USA and prevent users from using settings perfectly legal for their countries just by hard-coding US settings in the builds and DISABLING configuration of...

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support

As you can see, there is disable command. I'm talking about the content of the script itself. While there is a clearly visible "start", "stop" and "restart" function (and some other internal ones), there isn't any "disable" function. And THAT'S what I'm talki...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-April-20 05:38.torrent

It's well known that TL-WR4300 is powerful enough - even without HW NAT! - to handle 240Mbit WAN->LAN throughput. And it's also known that even TL-WR1043v1 should handle that... That rather alibistic If you cannot achieve the speeds you want get a faster router. statement is becoming quite obsolete ...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-April-20 05:38.torrent

Flashed from stock to TP-Link TL-WDR4300 v1, but even after disabling bwmon, no way to get full speed on my 240Mbit cable...
I get 170Mbit max.

Barrier Breaker is definitely a dead-end for highspeed lines :(

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support

Just type /etc/init.d/bwmon_gargoyle for all available commands. When you use stop, it will start again after restart, but disable will permanently stop it. Okay, but where does the "disable" switch come from? As already stated, there is no "disable" section inside the "bwm...

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support

/etc/init.d/bwmon_gargoyle disable or /etc/init.d/bwmon_gargoyle stop BTW, this "disable" switch looks rather like some myth or something... Looking in the "bwmon_gargoyle" script, there is no "disable" section in there. Can someone explain this? Is it some Linux scrip...
