I was running latest ddwrt fine no issues, wanted a taste of gargoyle. so I ssh in and uploaded the factory.bin and did the mtd - r write ... all i see now is the amber light blinking , i can not ping from any of the ports i try to go into recovery mode, by holding down the reset button and wait for...

I have openwrt BB on it i want to come over to gargoyle please advise on the correct file to flash .... really donot want to brick.

Have u tried to hold down the reset button while powering on for 5-10 sec .
This normally sends router in a state where u can ping 192.168.1.1 by setting up a static ip on your PC. If you get success by doing that u can then try to revert back to stock or another firmware .

IMHO u should use tomato firmware on the router .....
