Re: Unknow host in Hosts With Active Connections
Sorry to recover this old thread. I'm aware of it's age but didn't want to create a new one for the same problem. There is a more recent discussion of this problem https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8437&p=36498&hilit=unknown#p36537 What version of Gargoyle are you using? Ple...

Re: Can I use my existing router?
Can I somehow rename all the wireless devices that will connect to the router with an easy name so I know exactly what each device is? Eg - Zack's iPod. https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=scenario-teenagers Can I set this up so that I have to approve each new device that wants to conn...

Re: QoS on/off from command line
Playing nicely with Gargoyle front end is a bit involved. The command set is constructed in www/js/qos.js from about line 55

Gargoyle 1.9.0 has some issues. Try this more recent build which is working well for people

Probably not. I have had ongoing problems with code formatting where my editor takes it upon itself to introduce spurious white-space into the code. Sometimes I catch it before I commit - other times not. Apologiesispyisail wrote:gargoyle-tor: clean up mess after last changes

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
Great post - thankyou @Aragorn_Strider. Yes the initial experimental version 1.9.0 was sketchy - getting much closer now though with @ispyisail builds

Re: Mac address list with names
While writing the mac address , for example on the restiriction page, may there will be a combo box and there I do choose the device via host name and/or mac address like as setting static IP on page DHCP setting. There is already a Drop down for Group selection on that page - but yours is an inter...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2016-May-12 09:22.torrent
Enabling the Tor plugin results in a bootloop on my TL-WDR3600 for this build (and some prior builds) Sigh! So now I cannot replicate the instability :-( And am starting to wonder again about those weird packets captured in my original post kern.debug kernel: [ 62.590000] UDP: bad checksum. From 99...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2016-May-12 09:22.torrent
I have narrowed this down a little. The tor plugin is stable when I use the default "Tor Data Drive: RAM Disk." but enters a boot loop when I use "Tor Data Drive: /dev/sda2".nworbnhoj wrote:Enabling the Tor plugin results in a bootloop on my TL-WDR3600 for this build (and some prior builds).
