Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
So you’ll want 1d0b52e1e718ec1ff150223d51306262edb33893 Which should be able to be referenced by 1d0b52e From the git repository you have cloned, if you type git checkout 1d0b52e This should switch to that particular commit. I was able to rebuild the firmware and related packages using your instruc...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
No you wouldn’t be able to in that case as the kernel version (and vermagic) have changed. In that case yes building off the older version is a better idea if that is your intent. Although sometimes the act of including an extra kmod can change the vermagic as well, so it will depend how it goes. F...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
If I had to guess, it would have been based on 1d0b52e1e718ec1ff150223d51306262edb33893. But if you’ve built the newest, I’d just upgrade to that and use your own kmods. I have made a few changes since this release whilst waiting for the final. If I do this, can I still use the plugins directory yo...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
It hasn’t been built, you would need to custom build it. Thank you. It's been a while since I've built openwrt images so it took me a little bit to get this setup. I got the environment setup and mage some packages but unforturnately they are not compatible with this RC. I did make sure to use the ...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 5
Hello,
I'm looking to install the kmod-usb-hid driver on this rc for my WNDRMACv2. How best can I find this driver? In looking through the packages list for AR71XX, I don't see it available.
Thanks,

Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
Greetings All, Just reporting that I upgraded my WNDRMACv2 and WNDR3700v1 units to version 1.10.0 from 1.9.x from September 18, 2017. Did not preserve the settings. On the WNDRMACv2, I tested DDNS, OpenVPN, AdBlock Plugin, USB Camera, QOS w/ACC and WIFI (Both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz). All seems to be funct...

Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
That's correct. I tried going with straight defaults and no change. Maybe we somehow have different HW? /$ cat /proc/cpuinfo system type : Atheros AR7161 rev 2 machine : NETGEAR WNDR3700/WNDR3800/WNDRMAC processor : 0 cpu model : MIPS 24Kc V7.4 BogoMIPS : 452.19 wait instruction : yes microsecond t...

Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
That's very interesting about the WNDRMACv2, which I also have. It sent me scrambling to double-check the home page, but mine is normal, and it has been with this release and even the betas. You said it still happens with straight defaults, which is truly perplexing. No changes at all? Not that I c...

Re: Disappointing bufferbloat
Well i finally got around to recompiling gargoyle with a modification to ACC. After much testing i went with completely ignoring ping timeouts by replacing the timeout value with the ping limit. Got up this morning and my max limit is almost where it was last night which means its working :) The or...
