Re: Version 1.8.0 - Stable

Upgraded my WR1043ND V1 from 1.6.2 with no issues, didn't preserve settings as suggested.

Thank you for the update, keep up the good work.

Re: TLWR1043ND - Not accepting WAN pings

Right, I did a factory reset as you said, and to start off with I am able to ping myself from a remote machine. I quickly did all of my usual settings on the router and gave it a restart, and after that the pings aren't working again. So I've disabled settings one by one to see what caused it, and I...

Not done that actually, would it be best to do it via the web interface or to telnet in and erase nvram? Not done much in terms of resetting before on OpenWRT/Gargoyle.

Re: TLWR1043ND - Not accepting WAN pings

Are you pinging the right IP Address? Is you router connected to WAN, or are there any routers before it? It's definitely the right IP address, I use No-IP for DDNS too so that is kept up to date. The router is connected to a modem only, it's an Huawei HG612. Ive got custom firmware on the modem an...

Re: TLWR1043ND - Not accepting WAN pings

Sorry for late response. Can you also post contents of /etc/config/firewall? No need to apologize, you are helping me out. Here are the contents: config defaults option syn_flood '1' option input 'ACCEPT' option output 'ACCEPT' option forward 'REJECT' config zone option name 'lan' list network 'lan...

Re: TLWR1043ND - Not accepting WAN pings

A poor man entered a doctor’s consulting-room. He looked very unhappy.“Doctor,” he said, “you must help me. I swallowed a penny about a month ago.”“Good heavens, man!” said the doctor. “Why have you waited so long? Why don’t you come to me on the day you swallowed it?”“To tell you the truth, Doctor...

Re: TLWR1043ND - WAN and WLAN connections unstable

The WLAN Problem is a known issue with the TP Link TL WR1043ND and the 1.6.1 Version. Most users (so as me too) installed 1.6.0. If you need OpenVPN then this is not the best option because the heartbleed bug is still excisting in the older versions. The other thing you mention is not really an iss...
