Re: Best Bang for Buck Router

I've had good luck with Linksys WRT1200AC and WRT1900ACS routers on eBay being $40 or under. Reliable and fast processor.

Re: Best wifi gargoyle Router

Hello, by "horse power" do you mean transmission power? My linksys WRT1900AC does not have very good coverage. I've been looking at tp-link c7 suggested by @ispyisail. Would that give better coverage? Or is there a more powerful Gargoyle router that can blast through walls? I have the WRT...

How fast is your Internet connection? (to determine how powerful of a router you need)

Re: Best settings for gaming QoS+DSCP

The only suggestions I have would be to try to disable that minRTT setting in the Priority service class so ACC isn't as harsh with ping times.

Since your ping time is high, try using the default ping target instead of 1.1.1.1 to see if that makes a difference.

Re: Which Firmware for GL.inet MT300N V2?

Continuing the saga of my previously bricked router, I've decided to buy and this time a brand new router, I've look around for most reasonably(as in cheapest) price for it, it doesn't need to have wireless, but unfortunately the better the cpu, it also have very high bandwidth wireless (Dual band,...

Re: How to download from 1.12 to 1.10 mynet n600 or go back to factory firmware?

Method 1 on that OpenWRT page works great.

I've also had 2.4GHz WiFI issues with this N600 and N750 router model... oddly turning off N and keeping it at slow G/N makes it more reliable.

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!

Hi I was hoping to use the MT300N-V2 as a VPN client while traveling... but no such luck -- VPN seems to be completely missing... I realize this model is unsupported - but is there something I'm overlooking? Or does this version just NOT have any VPN capability (either as a server or client) Thanks...

Re: Install on TP Link Archer A7 V5 AC1750

I just want to say I hope the Archer A7 becomes a supported Gargoyle router with 1.13. It's an Alexa/Amazon version of the C7 v5, sells for around $60 new (about $45 refurbished on eBay or less if used). I ran the Polish Gargoyle 1.13 test firmware on it for over a month, with 4 adults in the house ...

Re: mitigating upstream buffer bloat

I'm having issues with bufferbloat when the upstream is saturated on 1.10. Any ideas to solve this problem? I keep lowering the 'total upload bandwidth' but am still facing issues that I didn't have with SQM/cake. I'm set to 750kbps of 1024kbps. I initially left the QOS rules intact, then stripped ...
