Yea, but is 8mb a safe bet? I fear that down the road it would get filled with some log files or other kind of data.

Re: PPTP client auto reconnect

Hi, so to report back some things I noticed. The PPTP plugin actually does try to reconnect automatically! But I works kinda strange. I setup one gargoyle router as a PPTP client 6 days ago (it is located like 200-300km away...), it worked for a couple of hours, but when I check the next day, it was...

Re: Gargoyle randomly not save options

You are right, the storage was full again. ;)

So, is this all because od 4mb ROM or does the system eventually eat all free space either ways?

What is then a safe bet, 16, 32 or would maybe 8mb be enough?

Re: Gargoyle randomly not save options

What kind of things does Gargoyle save to the ROM? Logs? Bandwidth info? Is it possible to disable altogether?

Another question I'm wondering is, why on earth does the root file under crontabs get deleted?

Re: PPTP client auto reconnect

Could something like this be a solution?
http://www.geekslove.it/2014/04/rebooti ... -when.html

But instead of restarting the network service I would need to restart the PPTP service. But what's it called?

Re: PPTP client auto reconnect

I think the problem is in storage. When the ROM is full, I think PPTP client writes some stuff, a log or something, to the ROM, the client is then broken. Is there any way to disable PPTP client writing log to the ROM? I'd get a router with more ROM storage (the current TP Link has only 4MB of ROM) ...

PPTP client auto reconnect

Hi,
If PPTP client (I'm using the gargoyle PPTP plugin) somehow looses connection to the server, how can you force it to automatically try reconnecting?

Re: Gargoyle randomly not save options

I'm wondering, if I for example delete all Gargoyle images, or some .sh files that are used in the web interface, does that leave me with more room for settings? I managed to install a PPTP client and use the auto reboot function without completely using the available space on a 4mb router. It is re...

Re: Port forwarding the connections from PPTP VPN

Oh, I guess it actually works! In case anybody else has the same problem - I think you currently can't port forward from the Gargoyle web interface, you have to add the following code in your "/etc/config/firewall" file (if you don't know what I'm talking about - download WinSCP, connect t...

Port forwarding the connections from PPTP VPN

As stated in the topic title, I'm having problems port forwarding connections coming from PPTP VPN. I establish the connection with the PPTP plugin, no problems there. But now I need to forward for example a connection to a VNC server that is on a device connected to the Gargoyle router which establ...
