Re: Safari cannot load Gargoyle config pages

Thanks for the reply.

Is the low throughput on QOS still present in this build or has that been fixed now?

Safari cannot load Gargoyle config pages

I've had this issue for a while on my TP-LINK WDR3600 running Gargoyle 1.5 all the way up to the newest version, happens on a variety of Macs too (it has occured on two different MacBook Pros that I have owned). For a while, Safari will load the Gargoyle config pages just fine but then with seemingl...

Re: Accessing Huawei HG612 from Gargoyle router

Does this help? http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=scenario-modem So if you cannot bridge the modem - then I do not understand why the Modem cannot get an DHCP assigned IP address from the ISP AND why you cannot configure static IP addresses on the (short) network segment between the m...

Re: Accessing Huawei HG612 from Gargoyle router

I was hoping to do it with just the one cable though but I am glad it works for you! :)

Re: Accessing Huawei HG612 from Gargoyle router

Unfortunately that won't work as TalkTalk don't use PPPoE for a connection, they use DHCP.

Accessing Huawei HG612 from Gargoyle router

The HG612 is the modem provided with FTTC in the UK (or at least it is in some cases; some ISPs provide their own routers). I am trying to access the HG612 from the Gargoyle router (TP-LINK WDR3600). The HG612 doesn't do the routing itself, it just provides the modem connectivity, so the router has ...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-March-27 05:44.torrent

So the solution is to downgrade to, 1.6?

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-March-27 05:44.torrent

Does this build fix the slow throughput issue with the official 1.7.1 firmware? :)

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support

Also experiencing slow throughput speeds on 1.7.1 on the TP-Link WDR3600.

Throughput via the WDR3600 is more than half of what it should be - if I connect directly to the modem I get the full speed.

Is there a fix that I can do? Or is the only way to go back to an old version of Gargoyle?

There must be a better way

There seems to be no way in Gargoyle to make QoS rules just for streaming, if the computer the streaming is done on is also used for other things. You can create rules to "catch" lots of data being downloaded on a client but there is no way to differentiate between that and streaming, if t...
