Re: Cut someone get cutoff after they have been on for X min

I'm interested in this feature too.
It's somewhat similar to "coffee shop" internet free for an hour with purchase.
I'm not sure how it would make sense to implement :?

Any chance of adding OpenDNS family filter to the default DNS servers

Code: Select all

208.67.222.123
208.67.220.123

Thanks

This would be awesome as the target market of the FamilyShield DNS are point and click (or pulldown).

Re: Redirect url to another. CNAME?

Sure. I could make this into a simple 1 click install scripts. I agree that it should be run as a CRON job to ensure the ip of forcesafesearch is always current. I wouldn't necessarily implement it as a plugin until there was a workaround for the calendar and other issues as discussed. Also I belie...

Re: Redirect url to another. CNAME?

Great post! Looks like an excellent basis for a plugin! Lantis? Also, looks like a great Common Scenario m However, all of the current common scenarios are limited to configuration via the Gargoyle interface - so this one is a little more "involved". tehpensfan would you like to create a ...

Re: Redirect url to another. CNAME?

Thanks! I followed your lead and it works for me. I am based in Canada so my local google search domain is google .ca As you noted, being in a different country domain actually makes it possible to not break desktop calendar or anything else other than search that uses http://www.google.com I've wri...

Re: The best gigabit, 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi, router for gargoyl

I brought a couple of Netgear WNDR3800 on eBay. I immediately flashed them to Gargoyle. No problems. I have one just using the 5Ghz band and another just 2.4Ghz. I got the WNDR3800 specifically because you can recover from a bad flash. Zero issues. Nice point, thank you. Especially - vertically rou...

Gonna buy it on July 4th Could anyone tell something good/bad about TP-Link WDR4300? That's a good question. It has a larger desktop foot print. It has a *lot*...

Re: The best gigabit, 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi, router for gargoyl

From first hand experience, I'd suggest the TP-Link WDR3600. Gargoyle installs easily and it has dual band, Gigabit Ethernet, 2 x USB 2.0 and adjustable antennas and seems to go for $50-60 new round these parts. Ok, thank you, will look on it. On your opinion, what is the biggest disadvantages with...
