Stuck on V1.11.0 on WRT1900AC V1?

I have a Linksys 1900AC v1 and installed 1.11.0 a while ago. I recently wanted to try DD-WRT or some other options. I found that even though I loaded a stock Linksys firmware or a DD-WRT version, etc. nothing makes a difference. It never completes and upon reboot, I am still on Gargoyle 1.11.0. I tr...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

Thanks Bill,
I saw those commands on the DD-WRT page just now and tried them. I get "ubootenv not found". I am still running the gargoyle firmware though. Is there any equivalent for this version?

Re: Best Router for Gargoyle

+1 OpenWRT/Gargoyle has a history of shaky wifi performance especially in congested wifi areas (my opinion). OpenWRT/Gargoyle as a plain router (no wifi) is rock solid. If you a commercial set-up or need maximum up time use Gargoyle Router + UniFi I've had close to a year uptime Gargoyle uptime I s...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

I installed 1.9 on my WRT1900AC V1 and with a 1Gb wired connection, speedtest.net showed 175Mb down and 23Mb up which is top speed for my connection. I didn't do anything with the wireless config other than via the GUI and I got 300mb (not full AC) but I got 145Mb down and 23Mb up. I will eventually...

@djt_nz
Thanks, that makes sense. I just hadn't opened it yet to realize it was for all versions.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

@Lantis Thanks for your reply and all your hard work. I will try 1.9 later tonight after I reset to stock Linksys via the 3 shut-off process. I figured the wireless AC config would survive reboots but wanted to be sure since I read that one other user had problems after the reboot. I've used Gargoyl...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

@nworbnhoj
Thanks,
I knew 1.9 was experimental but I was thinking/hoping that it used Openwrt 15.05 as a base and was including experimental fixes on top.
Thanks for letting me know about the lack of high-speed connections since I do want high-speed for my cable connected pcs. WIFI is not a big deal.

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-18 05:57.torrent

I'm currently on DD-WRT Oct 30 build on my Linksys WRT1900AC V1 but the parental controls don't work. My requirements (wants) are fairly simple 1) Stability 2) Reliable decent performance - Stock suddenly gave me very poor performance 3) DHCP reservations -I like to be able to identify all the devic...

Wireless bridge/repeater - can't access admin

I purchased a WRT1900AC and want to use my NetGear 3700 (running Gargoyle 1.61/1.62) as a WIRED AP. I selected the wireless bridge/repeater and it picked up the SSID from my Linksys so I selected that and used the same password. I believe I had selected an unused IP 192.168.1.247 but after trying a ...
