Re: Gargoyle USB UPS daemon

Hi folks, I'm also in the need of a solution as the one Wallythacker was looking for in 2015. But at a simple end user level, using a Gargoyle plugin - same as I would for the USB printer. My UPS is no APC, its a SoyoMec. But all the same with generic protocols. I am able to get it working fine usin...

Re: TL-WDR3600, running v1.8.1, intermittently reboots

Just for the future, bringing the network/system config between major versions is a big no no and could go very badly. Looks like you were lucky. But i would NEVER advocate preserving that file unless people know what they are doing. Hi Lantis. True. I actually compared the new file and old files, ...

Re: TL-WDR3600, running v1.8.1, intermittently reboots

Hi mate if you make a backup of some of the files from your router using WinSCP you can save you some time. Back them up to your PC and then flash and coppy them across. /etc/hosts /etc/ethers /etc/config/dhcp /etc/config/firewall /etc/firewall.user If you copy any of thees files pleas test that th...

Re: TL-WDR3600, running v1.8.1, intermittently reboots

Information on changing log levels and output https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/log.essentials Have you tried Openwrt? This kind of problem is almost certainly not isolated to Gargoyle, which would mean it also affects the Openwrt subsystem. That would make it something that we can't look into/fix...

Could be... but why does it not 'crash reboot' when NOT using this one PC with Win10?

Re: TL-WDR3600, running v1.8.1, intermittently reboots

Hi mate you need to flash this build. https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10777 1.8.1 is verry buggy. I have 2 wdr3600 routers on this build one as a bridge and one as a AP at my sister's house. The thing about c7's getting bricked is from a old build and does not matter ...

You could also open /etc/config/system file and just remove this line from it.
There is nothing loaded in the file you mention.
Could you please double check what you put the is correct?
Thanks.

Re: TL-WDR3600, running v1.8.1, intermittently reboots

Update. I tested further: 1_ updated the drivers to latest version, one version higher, now at 10.1.10.1. Problem continues. 2_ applied all updates available. System completely up to date with MS releases. Problem persists. However: a)_ The NIC is onboard, Intel Motherboard "DG43NB". Check...

Re: TL-WDR3600, running v1.8.1, intermittently reboots

Logs are as always written into a ring buffer which is accessed by issuing a "logread" command. If you want them written elsewhere more permanently you'll need to adjust your log settings using instructions elsewhere. Can you try disabling UPnP on the router and then connecting the offend...
