Re: DDNS

Aruljohn.com shows me correctly. Then you would have to use VPN as a gateway to the Internet and here it can happen. Otherwise, I don't know.

Re: 1.11.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2019-July-06 11

Here I found some instructions: https://pceftpos.com/wp-content/uploads ... -v1-08.pdf , depending on what scheme you have (1 or 2 or 3).

I'm not a bank Guru - try a Helpdesk from a bank.

Re: DDNS

In the penultimate (last) build from @ispyisail (viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12065), the DDNS bug has been fixed (due to a bad checkmyip.com domain), so you can delete the fix in the hosts file.

P.S. otherwise this communication doesn't belong here, it would be good to create a new thread and move the posts there... ;)

Re: 1.11.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2019-July-06 11

If the pc running the interface and account software is DMZ, assume it all works fine? This could be similar to FTP helpers in conntrack being disabled. I do not suppose that the software will work as a "server" (It must work without a public fixed IP (behind NAT)) - so I was thinking of ...

Re: DLNA(?) not working

You can try to delete the database, a new one will be created when the service is restarted - it may be corrupted.

The log is stored in the same location as the database. Find the location from the /etc/config/minidlna file

Example:

Code: Select all

option log_dir '/mnt/.minidlna'

Re: How can I switch off HDD head parking?

I also dealt with it for a while, but hopelessly. It's not a Gargoyle thing, but Linux as such (OpenWrt). It works perfectly in Windows, but once I connect it to the router, it behaves incorrectly. You can try hd-idle or hdparm opkg packages. Parameter settings will help google. http://www2.nslu2-li...

Re: Any chance of adding DNS over HTTPS to Gargoyle?

O.K. as I wrote, it depends on the user what they choose ;) . DNS over HTTPS can be implemented as a plugin and can be further improved (fixes, improvements, ...). Another reason is the absence of free FLASH in older routers, so as a plugin is probably a good idea. Observe carefully LOG, because a b...
