Re: Adding PWM fan control to Gargoyle on BPi-R3
Pythonic, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Had to do tons of reading to understand PWM based control of fans on BPi-R3. Spent the whole day understanding the logic and came up with following changes to my rc.local file. Now the setup is working smoothly and temperature is not going bey...

Adding PWM fan control to Gargoyle on BPi-R3
Hello, Feature request for PWM control of cooling fan. Is it possible to control the fans attached to CN22 and CN23 connectors on Bpri-R3 PCB? I know in Open-WRT there is mechanism to control the fan speed based on CPU temp. I noticed that Gargoyle is already polling and showing the CPU temperature ...

Sucessfully Upgrading BPi-R3 to Gargoyle
Hi, I had BPi-R3 router running Open-WRT 23.05 (git-23.236.53405-fc638c8). I downloaded "gargoyle_1.15.x-mediatek-filogic-bananapi_bpi-r3-squashfs-sysupgrade.itb" file form Lantis Project website and installed using web interface of OpenWRT. Everything looks to be working smoothly. I inten...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v5 SSID disappears
The problem has been solved. I bought some Rasperberry pie heat sinks and some M.2 SSD slim heat sinks, opened up my Archer C7,v5 and pasted Raspberry pie aluminium heats sinks on every chip that was visible. Then I placed the M.2 SSD heat sink under the PCB (On the opposite side of the metal shield...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v5 SSID disappears
Sorry, I am unable to figure out how to view the logs. Meanwhile the router crashed again, this time I was unable to do a "scan and reconnect" to bring wifi back. Tried restoring the saved configuration file and the router GUI/web interface became inaccessible, though I was able to log in ...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v5 SSID disappears
Hi, Sorry to bump an old thread, but same exact thing is happening to my ArcherC7v5 running 1.14.0 Gargoyle from last one month, I am also using this router as a wireless repeater. I have to physically attach a laptop using a LAN cable to one of the ports on the router to disable and enable WiFi, th...

Re: Version 1.14.0: Based on OpenWrt 22.03
Successfully installed Gargoyle V 1.14.0 using sysupgrade.bin file on GL.iNet GL-AR300M travel router which was running factory version of OpenWRT. This is older version that has both 16Mb NOR and 128MB NAND flash. I believe the newer version of this router GL-AR300M16 only comes with 16MB NOR flash...

Re: Version 1.14.0: Based on OpenWrt 22.03
Just upgraded my TP-Link Archer C7 v5 to Gargoyle 1.14.0 from 1.13.0, upgrade worked flawlessly over WiFi with option to preserve settings selected. My PC connected to the upgraded router via WiFi automatically after the upgrade! Thank you Eric and the team. Edit: My TP-Link Archer C7 v5 was running...
