Re: VLAN Network Config error - WNDR3800 running Gargoyle 1.11
Flash openwrt - use the vlan GUI to configure what you want and make sure it works. Copy the config file to a pc so you have a copy. Flash Gargoyle back and then modify the necessary parts of config file as per your openwrt network config file.

Re: FIOS + airport + router for monitoring
why do you have both the fios and airport. Is it to give better WiFi coverage or is there a reason you keep different clients on different subnets?

Re: FIOS + airport + router for monitoring
Im not sure how this is ever going to do what the initial poster wants. Surely Gargoyle cant monitor bandwidth and use of clients not attached by DHCP to the gargoyle router? In the scenario above only clients connected directly to the gargoyle router will be monitored and not those on the FIOS or a...

Re: DDNS
No definitely a problem with this website. It’s done it twice overnight in the logs and only ever with this website. All other updates have been fine.
Can anyone with ddns check their syslog to see if they are seeing the same?

Re: DDNS
Aruljohn.com has returned addresses in 10.x.x.x range at least twice in the last 12hours. If I go to the website it gives the correct IP address. Can we modify the script that rejects any address update with a local ip range as from memory that was the problem before as well?

DDNS
Are one/some of the ddns providers still not working? I’m guessing when I applied the last ispyail update it overwrote the hosts file fix? I can’t connect to my vpn at the moment and when I check the dns record is currently in the 10.x.x.x range. It was working earlier so seems to be a ddns provider...

Re: 1.11.0.x gargoyle-ispy 2019-June-23 04
Thanks ! - upgraded WRT32X (router) and WRT1900ACS (access point) The 5GHz wouldn't come up on the WRT32X (hostapd failed to start device) until I reset the channel to 36, waited for it to come up and then reset it to 100, then it worked fine - the 5GHz has always seemed buggy on this bit of kit tho...

Re: Linksys WRT32X Smart Switch/Plug Issue
Glad you got it sorted - I was really frustrated when I bought my smartsockets and bulbs and it took me several months (and Gargoyle 1.11) to get to this solution - now back to my favourite firmware so very happy

Re: Linksys WRT32X Smart Switch/Plug Issue
Set up the guest network on the 2.4 GHz band and set the WMM flag to '0' on the guest network only. Then connect your smartswitch to the guest network. I do this and my normal 2.4GHz network still shows full connection speeds. It also means you can isolate the smartswitches from the other clients on...

Re: checkmyip.com causing ddns plugin to update wrong IP
it was a coincidence
- just checked back through the syslogs and I've obviously been very lucky whenever I've tried to connect to home - will make the same mod !
