tp-link 1043nd shuts down

Hi. So this might be hard to explain, but when I'm away and I remote into my machine or try to set up my vpn through windows, the router shuts off. I can't find my dyndns host, no ping of the previous ip address, nothing. I have to go home and physically reset the router. It's running gargoyle 1.5.8...

Hi. running gargoyle 1.5.8 on a tp-link 1043nd. I've tried to set up this openvpn server, but when I add the client and click save changes, I get the message about taking 5-10 minutes to generate the crypographic info. Re: windows 7 vpn

ok, this is frustrating. I went looking and found info on the opkg update opkg install kmod-ipt-nathelper-extra command, figured out putty, ran the commands at the following website: http://damsteen.nl/blog/how-to-configure-openwrt-for-pptp-passthrough and nothing. I can't even connect the windows 7...

windows 7 vpn

Hi. Has anyone managed to configure the windows 7 vpn to work with gargoyle? running 1.5.8 w/ tp-link 1043nd v. 1.8. I've forwarded tcp-1723 and udp 500 but no luck. I don't know how to ssh at all, and heard something about a GRE port, but no idea what to do. Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

Re: no wireless network after scheduled reboot

Hmm, I'm not good with ssh at all. But the issue for me isn't the wireless, it's the whole network that goes down. It shows my ssid for my wired network but no internet is there, and the wireless network doesn't show up in the list of available networks. I have to physically reset the router, or at ...

tp-link connection speed resolution?

Hi folks. I was doing some googling on the fact that the tp-link 1043nd is only reporting 100mbps on my network page in control pannel. I've also noticed a pretty sinificant drop in speed since upgrading, but I want to keep working with gargoyle. But I couldn't really find a resolution. Does this me...

windows 7 vpn configuration

Hi. Running gargoyle v 1.5.9 and using a tp-link 1043nd router. So, with my stock firmware I had a vpn set up in windows 7, connecting my laptop to the desktop. I've tried open vpn, but found it to be a huge headache with lots of attempts at setup. I'd rather use the easier to set up windows 7 vpn p...

Re: just to make sure, gargoyle upgrade with dd-wrt

Ok, thanks that helps and is probably what I'll have to do just to be safe. I'm a bit confused, the Atitude Adjustment releases are for newer routers while the Backfire ones are for older, right? this router has 32 mb ram on it, just want to make sure I've got it right. thanks,

just to make sure, gargoyle upgrade with dd-wrt

Hi, Just a few quick questions. Upgrading from dd-wrt with a tp-link 1043nd router. I had read that using the Upgrade file instead of the Factory.bin file would work if I have dd-wrt installed previously. Is this correct with version 1.9 of the tp-link 1043nd? Also, will any of my settings be saved?...
