Re: Guest network support for Gargoyle 1.6.2
What you are describing is subnetting too. I don't see the "single subnet that Gargoyle is managing" on every page. I see data with addresses in that subnet, of course... but managing it directly, no. It's on the LAN setup page, and on the DHCP page. That's it. The burden that a guest netw...

Re: Guest network support for Gargoyle 1.6.2
Can you share your idea, pbix? I would like to play with QoS and guest. One idea is to run a multi homed DHCP server and then use the guest network's IP range to identify those clients. This would allow for example things like preventing them to connect to the router itself etc. One thing I am not s...

Re: Guest network support for Gargoyle 1.6.2
Looks great. It'd be nice if you could also choose to tunnel guest traffic through TOR that way I don't have to be responsible for my guest's traffic. I am not sure that obfuscating or hiding your traffic makes you less responsible for it, really... This being said, I do not use or plan to use Tor ...

Re: Email notifications plugin
I like the idea (by the way, you want the word "recipient" not "receipement" for the address/person you send the email to). I found the UI for setting times confusing, and am wondering if it works? Look at the image below. With all those times selected on multiple days, does the ...

Guest network support for Gargoyle 1.6.2
Hi, I've had guest networks on my Gargoyle router for a while, but no UI to set them up and I decided to remedy this yesterday. I added support for guest networks (if your wireless driver is MAC80211 or Atheros, though I need testers for the latter) to a clone of Eric's Github repository. Right now,...

Re: the annoying 'too many redirects'
That issue is driving me a little bit crazy too. I'll look to see if I can understand what's going on once my work on guest network support is done. I am using Chrome now whenever I need to use Gargoyle (and for debugging too). The other thing that is driving me crazy is that smoke screen that is pu...

Re: Gargoyle vs ddwrt
Hello everybody! Could anybody to compare gargoyle vs ddwrt? And same question if i do not need qos? ;-) Really interesting not in opinions, but in objective comparison. I am long time gargoyle user, and i like it, but i am really feeling luck of long time waiting guest wifi network support in garg...

Re: Guest ssid
And I would like to add my vote for this to be a become a feature accessible from the GUI. I put together a UI for guest networking last night. I have a TP 3600 and so I can only test an Atheros router, and I believe that Broadcom routers using the b43 drives cannot set multiple SSIDs. Anyway... Af...

Re: Version 1.5.11 - Translations
Hi, I upgrade a WRT 3600 from 1.5.10 to 1.5.11 successfully, right after backing up my settings. However Gargoyle had thrown all my settings away, so I did "restore settings" and now Gargoyle hangs. I wonder how settings backup/restore work, they seem so fragile (and contain a copy of the ...
