Re: Firewall rules
I would love to use one subnet only, but then the guests wifi on gargoyle routers doesn't work because clients cannot reach the dhcp router. I didn't find a solution for it yet, the only way was to use other subnets

Re: Firewall rules
I depends on what you are trying to achieve and why. to be able to use a guest wifi network and a wpa2 protected wifi in every router and be able to connect to any client in the lan/wifi. I would just have one subnet instead of three. management is so much easier I would love that too, but unfortun...

Firewall rules
Hello guys, I have a problem with the firewall rules I shoud put into my routers to make them communicate each other. This is the situation: https://s8.postimg.org/4gf60l275/Casa_Teramo.jpg (click for a bigger image) I have 3 problems to solve: 1) the guests wifi from gargoyle blocks the traffic to ...

I have no idea how to do it...Lantis wrote: You will need to write a firewall rule to address this.

Re: Version 1.10.0 : New stable version with critical security fixes
I think I found a very bad problem :-( WNDR3700 v1 flashed 1.10 without preserving the settings. My config: Fritzbox 7490 broadband router -> wifi -> WNDR3700 with Gargoyle. Fritzbox 192.168.1.1 WNDR3700 Gateway, client dhcp wireless, 192.168.2.1 WNDR3700 casting 2 wifi: 1) wpa2 protected, 2) Guests...

my apologizes, I don't use the bridge configuration with new gargoyle and I didn't see it changed. I saw it now.Lantis wrote:But to make my life simpler, I need you to not tell people to do the opposite of what the interface says.

Re: Version 1.9.2
Probably I don't understand how it is possible, giving a bridge IP outside the AP subnet, to get a client IP in the first AP subnet. I am using old foneras with old gargoyle in bridge (1.5.6 and 1.4.7 work very good) and when I select the bridge configuration, for the bridge IP it is written "m...

Re: Version 1.9.2
Because that isn't how relayd works. You need to choose a separate subnet so that it can relay information onto the same subnet. to be honest, having different subnets give to me a lot of different problems: 1) I cannot control the qos/bandwidth from the main router because if the same laptop/mobil...

Could you please explain to me the problem to use the same subnet?Lantis wrote: This is not the correct way to set up a bridge using relayd
