Thanks, if I implement it and have issues I'll post in the relevant forum.

Would ACC QOS benefit routers behind Gargoyle?

I'm trying out a hotspot firmware ( Zappie which unfortunately runs on White Russian so I can't add Gargoyle as a package. Our ADSL1 connection is very variable here, ranging from about 3Mbps down to 512kbps or so at peak times (presumably congestion on our local Conklin exchange which I assume has ...

Re: nodogsplash, or?

That's great news, I was just going by the OpenWRT wiki (Edit: which mentions IMQ being dropped in Attitude Adjustment) and the Gargoyle changelog where I saw the new improved version (Edit: of ACC) was added in 1.5.4.

nodogsplash, or?

I haven't seen a whole lot of discussion around captive portals here, though it looks like it might some day be included . I'm thinking of replacing a pfSense router with Gargoyle due to the Active Congestion Controller, better traffic accounting and lower power usage. It just needs a simple captive...

I decided to downgrade to 1.2.5 and everything is going fine thus far in client bridge mode.

Re: D-Link DIR-300 - Enable bridge, lose access

Well, after coming back to it after a while it had reverted to the first-time setup stage. So I tried changing the ip while it was in the router mode, which worked, and then changing to bridge mode. The same thing happened, couldn't access it for a while, then it reverted to first-time setup.

D-Link DIR-300 - Enable bridge, lose access

I've just flashed a D-Link DIR-300 a couple of times with 1.5.6 as I lose access to the device when I enable bridge mode. First time around I set: new password changed timezone mode to wireless bridge set bridge ip (192.168.1.250) gateway ip (192.168.1.1) repeater disabled set ssid to join after the...
