Re: Version 1.8.0 - Stable

One thing here is really stupid. More and more new versions pop out and most essential features are being neglected and left "unstable". I mean the bandwidth caps of course. Just like in my Netgear WNDR3700v2 - only half the ISPs bandwidth avalible - 120-125Mbit/s instead of 250. Still not...

Re: Version 1.7.2

So, after update, my NETGEAR wndr3700v2 should get the normal bandwidth back or not? It's half the download for now (120 instead of 250).

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support

There's a few bottlenecks at the moment. 1 of which is barrier breaker, which even though now patched, still sees a minor performance degradation compared to chaos calmer. The other bottleneck is BWMON which is part of the core functionality of gargoyle. It sucks up quite a bit of performance. It i...

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support

So you guys are saying that there were no problems with bandwidth in previous versions of Gargoyle? I have gargoyle on my NETGEAR WNDR3700v2, but the 1.7.1 version and I too have half of my bandwidth. My service is 250/10 mbit but router limits it to 112-125/10. That is really dissapointing and to b...

QoS scheduler

Hi As a happy Gargoyle user I also feel obliged to take act in improving the firmware. I'd suggest adding QoS scheduler to the Firewall options - specially the download QoS. F.e. so that users could easily pick in which periods the QoS feature is supposed to work - QoS turns on automatically at f.e....

Re: Setting up access to specified parts of Admin Panel

Router just needed to be rebooted after editing the files. Everything works fine now. I'd advise to add this to FAQ: Free access to Bandwidth Usage (bandwidth.sh) site. (no logging in required): Remove this line: eval $( gargoyle_session_validator -c "$COOKIE_hash" -e "$COOKIE_exp&quo...

Re: Setting up access to specified parts of Admin Panel

Thank you it worked, but partially. When I go to the bandwidth.sh without logging in it looks like this. (shows only whole bandwidth usage by default) http://screenshu.com/static/uploads/temporary/vf/sy/ka/mw3vzo.jpg So it's fine... but after picking a Name to show 3 gridlines 1-total usage 2- 1 pc ...

Re: Setting up access to specified parts of Admin Panel

Isn't there any other easier way ?

Editing more files (removing cookie login line) won't help ?

I'd rather edit files on router than struggle with some captive portal.
I certainly will look into it, but initially it looks "too much to do/struggle".
