Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
Thank you very much for the update. I would just like to say to everyone involved in the Gargoyle/OpenWrt developement that I appreciate your efforts very much you are doing a excellent job. I am using OpenWrt in a all of my routers and they have been up for several hundred days without any issues....

Ahh - ok, now I get it... YIKES! Remind me to avoid Comcast at ALL costs!
I'd hate to deal with a cap.

Curious about setting line speed on Gargoyle vs. WNDR3800
I'm wondering why on Gargoyle, one has to enter the upload and download speeds for QOS? I seem to remember that the OEM firmware on both the WNDR3800 & WNDR 3700v3, one doesn't have to enter the line speed. Of course, I could be remembering it wrong... What does the OEM fW do differently so that...

Re: Gargoyle on WNDR4000?
Since you haven't had a reply yet, my guess is no. I was considering getting this one after being unlucky enough to get a V3 of WNDR3700. It was either this or WNDR4500 that I was thinking of, but since neither are supported by OpenWRT, I decided to get the WNDR3800 for Gargoyle. This was ~2-3 weeks...

Re: Connect/Disconnect button in Status page
I believe what you're looking for is on page: https://192.168.1.1/basic.sh (Your routers IP there, of course.)

Re: Reducing writes to flash
I'm curious though.. If I plan on doing a reboot, should I SSH in and do those 'do_x_backup' commands, or is that automatically done when choosing reboot via the web portal? If not done via the portal, do I need to go into the respective directories to execute those commands, or can I do them immedi...

Re: Initial IP, Manual time setting, Add FTP server
I'll third the FTP request. It would be nice to move around inside the router using my favorite Can't-be-without utility: Directory Opus 10. I don't see why the security issue would be any worse than already allowing SSH into the router... Even make it so only LAN-side entry is possible - at least b...

Re: QoS on LAN
Maybe this could be a feature request? QOS for LAN traffic.
I could see that being very useful sometimes - if it would be possible at all. Maybe separate configs for LAN and WAN traffic??? I don't know - just throwing out a possibility...

Re: Reducing writes to flash
Well, nothing seems to be broken yet. At least that I've noticed. I even reduced the time-backup one to once a day. So that's good. I'm thinking of trying for 2 times a week on the time one and see how that goes - and maybe change the others to once a month, or maybe twice a month first - not sure y...

Re: Feature request Enable/Disable services
oh wow! This would be so neat if it could be added to default Gargoyle.
Where is the current place to get the whole package for english that will work with Gargoyle 1.5.5? And current instructions for how to install it - for dummies?
