Re: QoS app. detection ordering problems
Now that I'm thinking a bit, it would be even better if the generated protocol order would follow how they are used in QoS rules.

QoS app. detection ordering problems
I reported this in the bugtracker but it doesn't seem to be used a lot, so I'll repost it here (http://www.gargoyle-router.com/gargoyle/issues/68) Basically l7protocol rules that are subset of others (e.g. httpvideo vs. http) won't ever work because the checks are done in alphabetical order. I wrote...

TL-WDR4300: Degraded wireless performance in 1.5.11
I had been using Gargoyle 1.5.9 in my TP-Link WRD4300 for some months, and now after upgrading to 1.5.11 wireless performance has went down significantly, in the exact same location and setup I used to get 4 signal bars (in Fedora 19, GNOME 3 with NetworkManager) now I only get 2. Average bandwidth ...

Re: Version 1.5.10
I just upgraded and my USB flash drive is no longer being mounted in /overlay, but on a /tmp folder instead. Is it possible it broke because I'm using the uuid to identify it? EDIT: Changed uuid to a device path, still not working. Here is my /etc/config/fstab: EDIT2: I had to reinstall the block-mo...

Best version for TP-LINK TL-WDR4300
I just replaced my TL-WR1043ND for a TL-WDR4300, and just installed 1.5.9 without any problems so far, but I'd like to know if it's worth it to go for nightly/trunk builds, specially since I'm a little bit disappointed with 5GHz performance.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: WR-1043ND 1.5.8 instability
I upgraded and nothing changed, I have random Wifi ping spikes in the order of half a second per ping, apparently with no apparent reason. Wi-fi also doesn't come back after a scheduled reboot: I had to resort to restarting Wi-fi in /etc/rc.local.

Re: WR-1043ND 1.5.8 instability
Bumping this thread to see if anyone had any improvements with 1.5.9 before I upgrade.

Re: QoS configuration disappears after power loss and breaks
You cannot use two tabs at the same time to modify your router. This is true of the QoS screens and all other screens as well. This is true not just for two tabs in the same browser but also for two different computers at the same time. The Gargoyle interface is not a multi-user design. You cannot ...

Re: WR-1043ND 1.5.8 instability
I did try to adjust it to 23dBm with only a small improvement: instead of getting drops every 2 minutes I'd get them every 5 minutes or something. Something else that did help a bit surprisingly was to move my wireless adapter a bit closer to the router. I did not think weak signal was a problem sin...

Re: WR-1043ND 1.5.8 instability
After a couple of days with raz's linked build I no longer see reboots but Wireless still drops very frequently. It starts with mild latency spikes to 30-50ms which then escalate to 1000ms latency after about a minute, until packet loss kicks in. No messages in the system logs at all. Same behavior ...
