Re: wireless channel selection not 'sticking'

Well, I've had a bit of weirdness - sometime during the day, it seemed to loose the option 'bssid' '00:08:F5:AE:CD:F4' setting I'm not sure if that was something I did during the course of various restarts and config changes that caused it to be over written - or, it over wrote itself somehow... But...

Re: wireless channel selection not 'sticking'

Thanks Lantis - that was precisely what I wanted! I don't have iw, but I do have iwconfig which gives the info needed. I've done what's recommended in the thread you reference - we'll have to wait and see if 'option bssid' is supported and how long it 'sticks' for. I'll report back. For reference, t...

wireless channel selection not 'sticking'

Hello Folk Kit: Fonera model FON2100A/B/C with Gargoyle v1.4.7 Atheros AR2315A (183 MHz) I have set it up as a 'non-bridge' W-LAN (Client) to an AP (AP1) thus: https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/clientmode#masqueraded With another wireless AP (AP2) hanging off the back of the Fonera's lan port. So t...

Re: back to the future... The La Fonera 2100 bandwidth issues

stopped both:
/etc/init.d/bwmon_gargoyle stop
/etc/init.d/qos_gargoyle stop

And disabled
Doubled d/l speed :-)
Any other candidates for the chop given I'm using this only as an internal 'bridge'?

Thx

Re: back to the future... The La Fonera 2100 bandwidth issues

I wondered about that too :-)
I'll start disabling some services...
Is there a howto for that somewhere - I didin't see anything immediately here:
https://www.gargoyle-router.com//wiki/doku.php
?

Thanks

Re: back to the future... The La Fonera 2100 bandwidth issues

Thanks Lantis,

I wondered about that, but then, when it came out it was (is) a b/g device so must be capable of 50 Mbps. Now it's showing a tenth of that at 5 Mbps...?

Thx

back to the future... The La Fonera 2100 bandwidth issues

Hello Folks Long time no post, but recently I had the need to resurrect my old Fonera into a useful machine to borrow my next-door-neighbours internet. However, I've found that the bandwidth through the Fonera is very limited. I don't seem to get more than about 5 Mbps download - which is getting on...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 support?

Thanks drawz - how can I discover this information? Is there a road map to gargoyle development or tacking of OpenWrt?
Thx

TP-Link Archer C7 support?

Hello Folks This post suggests support for the Archer C7 is a long way off: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4979&p=22703&hilit=archer+c7#p22703 But, this posts suggests it's already here - in OpenWRT at least: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=242952#p...

Re: wireless <=> wired bridge & dhcp?

Hi ispyisail & eric Thanks for getting back and sorry for the late follow up - had an exam last week... ispyisail - the diagrams where eric pointed show what I'm after: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/clientmode#bridged.client.mode.brcm-2.4.only And, eric & ispyisail, yes - "Bridged C...
