Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP

Sorry, I can't help you. I'd give it a couple more days. This is not a large community but I have always found help here- or at least information if an issue remains unresolved at the moment. Overall, Gargoyle has provided the best combination of features, stability and usability for me. Thanks and ...

Re: 1.5.6 on WNDR3700v2 - Cannot change firmware

I have Gargoyle 1.5.6 on a WNDR3700 v2. I've used several versions and with the exception of the recent time setting issue from 1.5.5 they've all ran great. However, I have seen instances when configuration changes show the updating messages and just hang there. I.5.6 seems better and if I wait a fe...

Re: Version 1.5.5: OpenVPN

ispyisail. Thanks for the link. I will have to see if I can figure out how to SSH into Gargoyle - really don't know much about that stuff. I searched the forum but got too many hits to show. Is there a tutorial? Anyway thanks for pointing me in the right direction - I hadn't had a chance to catch up...

Re: Version 1.5.5: OpenVPN

Eric, Thanks for getting back asking why I need a TAP interface in OpenVPN. I've been gone a while and just caught up to your reply. I don't own the OpenVPN server I am connecting to and it is set up for a TAP interface or so I am told. Anyway, I can't seem to get a good connection unless I connect ...

1.55 Time setting

Hello, I have upgraded from 1.54 to 1.55 on my Netgear WNDR3700 v2. It appears that everything works except for TOR and the fact that I cannot set the time servers. The time server setting is stuck on "custom" and whenever I try to change it, the change will not save. It will briefly flash...

Re: Version 1.5.5: OpenVPN

Thank you for the fixes and especially OpenVPN in 1.5.5! I will try it now. Will the OpenVPN eventually get a tap interface option? I really need to use tap but I am glad to see OpenVPN coming to Gargoyle.

Re: Sometimes TOR not working though it is enabled

Hello, Although I have use for Open VPN and hope to see that in future versions of Gargoyle, I have come to rely on Gargoyle's TOR function a lot. I really appreciate this feature in Gargoyle but I can't seem to get it working since updating my WNDR3700 v2 router to Gargoyle 1.54. Typically I have u...

WPS/Wireless/USB

Hello, I'm not much of a computer person. But when I could not get a USB drive to work on my Netgear WNDR3700v2 with Gargoyle I tried a recent version of Open-WRT ( http://enduser.subsignal.org/~trondah/latest-release-is-r30133/ ). I then noticed that my router's WPS and Wireless on-off buttons work...

Re: Open VPN GUI

I tried TOR and I guess its useful. But I certainly have A LOT more use for VPN than I do for TOR, so I hope that the VPN feature is added in the near future. Gargoyle is the best! But for now I will need to use a different firmware on my other router but I would switch to Gargoyle if I could. Hint....
