If you have OpenWRT installed - you can upgrade from the LuCi GUI Just choose the appropriate Gargoyle firmware. Successfully flashed 901nd v1 access point with 941nd v4 bin! I used it because both routers have same processor, ram, flash and wireless card. Only difference is number of lan ports.

I have successfully flashed my 901nd v1 router with 941nd v4 bin and it works perfectly!

It is fully supported on openwrt and therefore would like to see it ported to gargoyle.
