Re: Cannot get over 100Mbps total bandwidth

That post about the 500 Mbps probably was mine. I was able to get 500+ Mbps with QOS on using a WRT1900ACv2. This was with the WAN side being a computer on a gigabit connection, and also using my works gigabit fibre connection with speedtest.net servers 1-2 ms away. However, I've just today got swit...

Re: Linksys WRT1900ACv2

I'll try, but it might be a while. Once I've taken the router home, it's not as easy to for me run throughput testing.

Re: Linksys WRT1900ACv2

I will eventually... I want to run 2 weeks on 1.9.0 for a baseline comparison before deciding in an ispy build to use. I have no intention of using the Wi-Fi on this router, so am not in a big hurry in that regard.

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!

I got my new router today, and it's great... So I did some routing throughput testing (gigabit between lan and wan sides)...

Stock firmware
916/913

Gargoyle 1.9.0
899/753

Gargoyle 1.9.0 / QOS up and down set to 900 Mb
549/477

Very happy with this router and so happy to be with Gargoyle

Re: Generic Broadcom version on r7000

Definitely seems to be a no go with the generic broadcom image. Luckily this router fails quite nicely, just getting stuck in tftp restore mode automatically.

Good advice. 1st attempt was a failure. Router boots, responds to pings, but thats it. So I'll be recovered tomorrow, time permitting and seeing if I can make it work.

Generic Broadcom version on r7000

Has anyone tried putting 1.9 on the Nighthawk R7000? The Netgear R7000 has a 47xx CPU, and the openwrt wiki says that CC 15.05 does support the router, but with no Wi-Fi support https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/netgear/r7000 If I stick the firmware, gargoyle_1.9.0-brcm47xx-generic-squashfs.trx, on the t...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 routing speeds with QoS

After adding my normal QoS rules back, did quick internet speed test. Looks like overall this router is good for 50 or 60 Mb internet, but not so good for 100 or 120 Mb internet.
