Re: Linksys WRT1900ac - Planned Gargoyle Support and Advice
Couple of questions: Does the 1900ACS have functional WDS? I believe I read conflicting assessments of this on OpenWRT forums and Wiki. How is the general wireless performance on 1900ACS? Throughput, range, stability, etc. How is the NAT performance of the 1900ACS? I know there's no hardware NAT sup...

When you guys say fix applied, do you mean to the main download or to the experimental/monthly/unofficial builds?

Re: openSSL heartbleed vulnerability
yeah there seems to be an error in gpkg preventing it from working right.
in the meantime you can use the experimental build here: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... =14&t=5533

Re: opkg issue? Can't install locally stored package
The gpkg error needs to be fixed ASAP. Imagine a worse bug than heartbleed and being unable to update any packages.

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
Fresh install of 1.5.8 went well and is working without problems for an hour or so now on my brand new Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H (got it from woot.com last week for $49). No notable observations yet aside from the fact that the web interface seems VERY snappy and responsive.

distance setting in gui?
I've been able to get better real-world throughput over a wireless-n bridge by manually setting the max distance on my AP and my STA by logging in over SSH and setting: uci set wireless.radio0.distance=60 I believe by default this option is off or set to 0. I also believe this really controls the AC...

Re: TP-Link TL-WR841N/ND V7
...so we got a little off topic here...
Is there a chance of seeing an "official" build for the TL-WR841ND V7?
If not, can someone point me at some resources about compiling my own?

Re: How do I turn a WZR-HP-G300NH into a client bridge?
I don't know if you ever got this working, but you might want to try 1.4.4 or 1.5.1. They had fixes to wireless drivers that increased stability on my WZR-HP-G300NH. Also, you should check to see if both routers are Atheros radios. I think in that case what you want is the WDS option. My setup is co...
