Re: QOS question

The only way is allocate a minimum bandwidth for port 53? I think an option for prioritizing low-bandwidth traffic is needed. I think it is the only option that is missing in gargoyle.

Re: QOS question

I have selected my ping target. It is my ISP gateway. But this class is never active, because it never load more of 2kbps. The traffic is generated by my custom service (i'm a java developer). I would not explain here what it is and what it is used for, but it is sure that it load less than 4kbps. I...

Re: QOS question

Ok, i will try to explain better my situation. I'm italian, and i use a wimax connection from linkem operator. I have to use their router Huawaei HES-319M for wimax connection. I set on it DMZ server, that is my tp-link1043nd with gargoyle 1.5.4. I have tried to set hes-319m in bridge mode, but i do...

Re: QOS question

Regarding one. Ok, if we think relying on minimum bandwidth of my service needs, this reasoning is exact. But, speak about services do not need a special bandwidth for work good, but only need less latency possible. As you know better than me, only one package can be sent at the same time over phisi...

Re: QOS question

Thanks for answer. Respect question one, i think my question is not clear. I speak about packet priority, indipendently capacity or not capacity link. I would be an example. Suppose my capacity link is 200 KB/s, that is 1600Kbps. If my classes send data for 190KB contemporaneously, first 180KB are p...

Hi, i'm italian, so excuse me before for my bad english. I hope it is understandable. I read documentation about QOS, but i have some doubts. Suppose i have two classes, "gaming" and "normal", where gaming has minimum bw. First question regards packet prioritization when link is ...
