Re: How too install and use DNSCrypt with Gargoyle
Hi i am stil on CC but i use opendns for dns will I still need to use that file? Well, the ones that start with cisco are the OpenDNS resolvers. Note that there are options for the one with the family shield and the one for IPv6 if you use that. Actually, the one called "cisco-port53" mig...

Re: How too install and use DNSCrypt with Gargoyle
First of all, check your resolver. I have found that resolvers can come and go, unfortunately, and your router's list may be out of date because it probably only gets updated when a new version of DNSCrypt is released (which isn't very often). The current list should be here: https://github.com/jedi...

Re: gargoyle-ispy 2015-October-31 21:31.torrent
I'm going to test some more, but I think there is a time bug in this build. Even though I have set the time zone, it appears that all time is being evaluated based on UTC. The current time shows UTC The restrictions seem to trigger off of UTC time and not my local time zone Any idea why this would ...

Re: Version 1.7.1 - Guest Network Support
Is anyone with a very fast connection (100Mbps+) getting bottlenecked by the BB builds? I was fortunate enough to have my speed increased recently, and I was measuring 110Mbps in AA at Speedtest. In the BB builds I've tried (1.7.0 and 1.7.1, plus another Ispy build or two in between), I get only 86-...

Hi this worked for me on 1.6 but not in 1.7 https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6225 Well, obviously you have to change the URL to point to the BB packages instead: http://exopenwrt.and.in.net/barrier_breaker/ar71xx/packages/exOpenWrt (with src/gz exopenwrt in front) Alth...

Re: cheapest replacement for aging buffalo wzr-hp-g300nh
The 3600 has 8MB of flash though. How much space is left after Gargoyle is installed? I'm asking because on my G300nh I use DNSCrypt and install a couple of other things like Nano and TCPdump, and I'm concerned that 8MB might not be enough. I'd rather not use USB storage if necessary.

Re: Restrict access by OS?
I don't think there's a way to do it entirely via the router. Gargoyle would have no way of knowing which OS is communicating with it, and each OS will report the same MAC address for the network adapter. I think the simplest way would be to just change the Windows system proxy settings to point to ...

Re: Version 1.6.1 - Heartbleed Fix
YC3948, unless I'm misreading it, you're confusing the flash storage space with RAM. The first screen (16MB / 123.7MB) shows how much RAM is in use, while the Plugins screen shows how much flash storage you have available to install plugins (it would be like hard drive space if it had a HDD). That r...
